May Fishing Recap:

Louisiana Charter Fishing Report :

We are thrilled to report redfishing has been outstanding in May! Both artificial and shrimp bites are equally strong, with fish being found along the banks and hanging close to structure. Schools of lower slot sized reds make for a quick limits and exciting days of constant reeling. The 14-15″ toss backs will be coming into slot soon enough, and have us excited for continued great fishing over the next few months.

Larger redfishs have been hot on gold spoons and sight fishing has been easy when the wind is right. We’ve had a very early morning bite that shuts off as the sun heats up around lunch. Fine by us – let’s get it done in the cooler times of the day! Certainly worth setting your alarm for!

As the weather heats up in June, the fishing will, too. Now is the time to bring the kids! We expect fish will continue to pile up and keep boats easily entertained with consistent reeling.
