Griffin Fishing – February 2021 – Louisiana Fishing Report

It’s Fishing Time Again!

We enjoyed a long winter break to enjoy the holidays with our families, rest, recharge, and get some hunting in. Now the fishing guides are ready to get back on the water!

February fishing is picking up, and we will be out on the water most of the month. This time of year we are typically catching sheepshead, redfish, and black drum. Although the mornings can be chilly, it can be a great time of year for fishing. Redfish are sometimes spotty in winter, but they can also be found stacked up in deeper holes on the colder days. When the sun heats things up, they take to the shallow waters of the marsh to warm up and really turn on.

We still have some openings left for the spring, and very limited availability into the summer. Now is the time to get your trip booked and secure your place. If you are looking forward to the fall for your trip, please don’t hesitate – that is always our busiest time of year. Call us now to book today, or contact us here.
