July Fishing Report

July in Louisiana is HOT, so the early bird gets the redfish!

We have been getting on the water before sunrise, and bringing redfish in the boat early! As the day heats up, the bite has been slowing down until late again in the afternoon. Fish have been hanging on structure where dead shrimp has been the best bet for bait, and in the sunnier marshes we are using gold spoons to bring in the bigger fish. Weather and summer thunderstorms have been consistent each afternoon, further encouraging our anglers to get out on the water early.

As we head into August, we are expecting more of the same with consistent temperatures, weather, and fishing. It’s a great time to take in the best of Louisiana Fishing.

Looking forward to fall, October is 99% booked. September still has select openings, and the first half of November is filling quickly. If you are planning a trip, please secure your dates as soon as possible!
