Griffin Fishing – April 2021 – Louisiana Fishing Report

Spring Fishing is Taking Off!

As we roll into Spring, the fishing has been great! Although the weather conditions have been changing from warm to cool every couple of days, we have still been managing to put together some great catches. The redfish are showing up in the shallow marshes, and the black drums and sheepshead are a solid catch on the rock jetties.

Red fishing will get even better as we move into early summer! Right now is a great time for artificial fishing. The reds are in shallow waters, and when the waters are calm, it makes for a great day catching many limits on spinnerbaits and some gold spoons. When it gets tough and the wind picks up, we revert back to trusty popping corks with dead bait as needed.

If you are looking for a charter in the near future please give us a call. We have very limited availability through July 1st, but July and August have a lot of availability! The summer is hot, but the fishing is usually Fantastic! The Fall also has few days left.

If you’re ready to get in on the action, please book now!
